CULTURAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: PRAGUE
Opening the Cultural Leadership Summit: Prague, DeVos Institute Chairman Michael M. Kaiser will lead a discussion examining how 21st-century developments—from the demise of the recording industry to the rise of high-definition broadcasts—are shaping what it will take to compete in the cultural marketplace. DeVos Institute President Brett Egan will lead a subsequent discussion that takes a closer look at the impact of digital technologies on artists, arts institutions, and arts audiences, as well as how these forces may accelerate in the years to come.
In addition, DeVos Institute leadership will also lead intensives on such topics as strategic and artistic planning, fundraising, and marketing as part of the four-day summit.
The program is designed primarily for managers of cultural and arts organizations, as well as artists, students, academics, and representatives of government agencies that invest in culture.
Held in partnership with the renowned Dvořák Prague Festival, the Cultural Leadership Summit: Prague is organized by the Academy of Classical Music—presenter of the Dvořák Prague Festival—in collaboration with the DeVos Institute of Arts Management, the Embassy of the United States in Prague, and philanthropist Karel Komárek, with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
